Bologna again
Back in Bologna for a second time — revisiting the shrines of St Catherine of Bologna and St Dominic, a superb vegetarian dinner, and street protests about the conflict in the Middle East. (3 min read)
Very happy to be back in Bologna and staying at the same hotel (San Donato) for a better price going direct.
First priority was to revisit shrine of S Caterina d’Bologna and then S. Domenico. Both rather crowded and did not have the same energetic impact on me as past visits. I even returned to S Caterina later in the day.
I ate very well at a superb restaurant just a street away from Corpus Domini (S Caterina’s shrine).
I love the progressive politics of Bologna and there were protests against the mess in the Middle East.
