The pandemic opportunity
This is the most extraordinary time to be alive and the opportunity for growth is extraordinary. Twelve spiritual principles for navigating the pandemic with faith, vibration and discernment. Written in June 2020. (5 min read)
This is the most extraordinary time to be alive and the opportunity for growth is extraordinary.
But I know that many of us are not feeling good right now.
It is partly because our lives and plans have been disrupted. We have stopped doing many of the things that make us feel good – eating together, celebrating together, praying together, working together, travelling.
We are also out of sorts because our expectations of how the world works have been trashed. The control we thought we had is seemingly diminished and the freedom we thought we had curtailed.
The mainstream discourse about the pandemic is very narrow and third dimensional.
And longstanding lack of trust in systems that do not protect the public interest has been amplified and partisan “leadership” found wanting.
And many, many people are in fear. This is most obviously manifest in fear for life or health, but it is also driving “protection” of the community.
For many there is a fear of death and/or the pain that precedes death. There is also the fear of being manipulated. Some are fearful that their connection to source will be diminished. And there is also the fear that there are additional factors at play and science cannot explain, or cure, what is going on.
But that is not the fully story.
Personally, I can see a divine order in all that is going on. It is an answered prayer – the opportunity for an evolutionary leap in consciousness.
The pandemic, climate change and the me-too movements are catalysts.
Humanity is being offered the opportunity to learn some fundamental lessons about the nature of all that is, including about duality and vibration. The soul growth from the integration of such lessons will have enduring benefit for those that get it. And when a critical mass of people experience a significant growth in understanding, the whole human family is uplifted.
These lessons are not easy and everyone will have to find their own way. Indeed, finding and acting in accord with one’s own truth is one of the most important soul lessons on offer.
For myself, I equivocate between broader view (‘all is in order’) and old patterns of resistance and resentment of control. But this seeming lack of control has motivated me to reflect on first principles (or what one might call laws) and I pray that sharing these will lift and support you too:
- The soul is enduring and is always seeking growth
- The soul never chooses any experience it cannot successfully undertake
- It is the mistaken belief that we are separate from God (and each other) that is the core of our pain
- We create our own reality through the vibration we carry
- Fear lowers vibration
- We can raise our vibration through our thoughts and actions
- Service is the path to growth
- Each person can discern the best form of service for themselves
- It is a huge responsibility to guide, advise or direct another and doing so has consequences for all concerned
- The unseen world is real and grace is always available to us
- Ask only for what is in accord with Divine Will
- Dont worry, everything is unfolding as it should.
If you take a few minutes to connect with your highest aspect you will feel great relief. In the moment you will know that all is well and that this is the most wonderful world and the best time to be alive.
If you need it, ask for help to feel joyful. Boost your immune system. Correct any disordered thoughts.
And remember that your soul chose to be here for the dawn of this new age knowing it could assist and would grow from it.
